Tetra Pak

What excites Tetra Pak the most about being part of this year’s Bridge2Food Europe 2025?

We’re excited to showcase our efforts in this industry at Bridge2Food Europe 2025. The event offers an excellent platform to highlight our recent advancements and collaborate with academia, peers, and industry.

What are some of the key challenges you have observed when it comes to scaling novel food processes?

In addition to the usual technological and regulatory hurdles, operational challenges are often underestimated—especially as you scale up. At larger scales, factors like robustness, reliability, and repeatability become essential, such as considering strong automation and quality control systems from the start. That’s where Tetra Pak’s expertise and portfolio can add value when scaling up.

Your session will explore how to scale bioprocesses from lab to table. Why is this topic especially relevant for the food industry today, and what perspective is Tetra Pak bringing to the discussion?

Scaling bioprocesses in the food industry presents both technological and operational challenges. With our extensive experience, Tetra Pak supports customers from pilot trials to full-scale production. Our Product Development Centres also help validate New Food ingredients and develop new product concepts, reducing risk and accelerating market entry.

Absolutely! We have been developing several initiatives within New Food that aims to enable the development of this industry, one worth highlighting is our recent collaboration with Lund University called Biotech Heights which is an innovation hub that will bring together academic and industry partners to accelerate research and development in biotechnology for food and materials. We look forward to sharing more updates and exciting news during the event.

Bridge2Food Europe 2025 is a great space for forming strategic partnerships. What kind of discussions or collaborations is Tetra Pak hoping to engage in?

We’re excited to connect with partners seeking support for industrialisation. We believe collaboration is essential to building a strong ecosystem around new food solutions and scaling up sustainable innovation.
