Michel is a seasoned food industry executive and strategy consultant with over 25 years of experience in leading multinational companies including Unilever, JDE Peet's, and Nomad Foods. He has held senior roles across European markets, with deep expertise in both branded and private label portfolios. As a former leader of the Iglo Green Cuisine launch in the Netherlands, Michel has been at the forefront of the alternative protein movement. Today, he is a Partner at Food Strategy Associates, where he leads the Benelux, Nordics, and DACH practices, advising clients on commercial strategy, operational excellence, and M&A in the food and beverage space. Michel actively contributes to the transformation of the food system. He serves on the Supervisory Boards of ProVeg and Kipster, and is a mentor to future food leaders in scale-ups at Wageningen University. He is passionate about building a sustainable food future through innovation, pragmatic strategy, and cross-sector collaboration.
