Lise Friis Christensen
Lise Friis Christensen is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Biotechnology and Biomedicine at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). She holds a PhD in biotechnology & food microbiology from the National Food Institute at DTU, and a Master’s degree in biochemistry with a specialization in protein chemistry from the University of Copenhagen.
Her research focuses on understanding protein interactions and the discovery of microbial enzymes relevant to plant-protein valorization. She is currently part of the Plant2Food-funded project REFINES, where she develops robot-assisted high-throughput screening workflows to identify and characterize fungal enzymes with application potential to mitigate off-flavor challenges in protein-rich industrial side streams.
