Joshua has an academic background in applied microbiology, analytical chemistry, bioprocess design and life-cycle assessment, working with photosynthetic and fermentation systems. This transitioned to working with the brewery and bioethanol industries on process analytical technology, quality control, and bioprocess optimisation. At RISE, Research Institute of Sweden, he now works as a researcher and project leader covering topics such as protein extraction and ingredient manufacturing, biochemistry, ingredient functionality and modification, microbial production and associated downstream processes technologies.
