After over 25 years working in international Business Development in various sectors , Ingrid Oomen-Peeters joined the Dutch Province of North Brabant in 2021 to develop a new economy in biotechnology. Together with the Brabant Development Agency (BOM) and other stakeholders Brabant launched the Scale Up Plant of Europe, an ecosystem for food ingredients on the cutting edge of food innovation and upscaling. By now over 100 business partners and stakeholders have joined in creating the business climate for plantbased biotechnology. Redefining Brabant’s leading position in the international food industry.
