Georgios Tetradis Mairis is a senior leader in Research, Development & Quality at Nomad Foods, where he heads the Futures team, shaping the company’s long term science, technology, and innovation agenda. Over six years at Nomad Foods, he has built the Futures programme from the ground up, delivering breakthrough work across packaging innovation, novel processing technologies, alternative proteins, and sustainability.

Georgios has strengthened Nomad Foods’ open innovation and start up engagement, founding the FutureFoodsLab and leading venturing collaborations focused on developing and commercialising disruptive technologies. Previously, he spent 19 years at Unilever in global R&D leadership roles across multiple categories. Georgios is the inventor of more than 10 patents, serves on academic advisory boards, and holds degrees in Chemical Engineering and Technology Management (MBA).
