Erica Huisman-Trines is the Head of Innovation and Quality at Sofine Foods, based in Landgraaf, part of the New Originals Company.

With more than 25 years of experience in product development, this field is truly where her heart lies. Erica loves working on the best products for consumers, customers and finding ways to produce them, together with my teams.

Erica began her career in product development at the company formerly known as Cadbury Schweppes, initially focusing on sugar confectionery and later on chocolate. After that, she worked at Unilever/ Mora, with frozen meat snacks, from there she found it a logical choice to go and work for a company specializing in plant-based foods.

Since 2014, Erica has been working for Sofine Foods, which became part of the New Originals Company in 2025.
