Caroline Orfila-Jenkins

Caroline leads a team of scientists and engineers a diverse team of scientists and engineers with responsibility for delivering R&D breakthroughs in areas including crop quality & diversity, enzyme and bioprocessing technology, human nutrition, consumer experience and analytical science. She is a member of the Oatly Leadership Team, contributing to strategy development and implementation.
 

Before joining Oatly, Caroline worked as a Professor of Plant Biochemistry and Nutrition at the University of Leeds in the UK, where she is still a Visiting Professor. There she led multinational projects at the intersection between agriculture, food science and nutrition. She is a Registered Nutritionist, delivering lectures and courses in biochemistry and human nutrition for over 15 years. She has acted as a mentor for many early career researchers and was selected as an advisor and evaluator for funding agencies in the Africa, Asia, Australasia and Europe.
